Opossum

Sparse grayish/white fur. Can grow as long as 37” without the tail and weight up to 14 pounds. Have a pronounced snout, mouth lined with sharp teeth. Tail is furless, scaly and thin, prehensile to aid in climbing. Feet are also scaly.  Adult size approximately the size of a house cat.

Skunk

Most common of the species:   Striped skunk

Average size:  Length: 20”-30” including tail ;    Weight 6-10 lbs

Common fur color is black and white, Can be brown or grey and a few are cream-colored. All skunks are striped, even from birth. They have moderately elongated bodies with relatively short, well-muscled legs and long front claws for digging.
