A resource for hotline operators to record calls and provide helpful information to the public who have encountered wildlife in distress.
About Us
Hotline for Wildlife is a project of Friends of Cape Wildlife (FCW), a 501(c)3 charity. This database is being developed to assist wildlife volunteers and staff in answering the publics calls regarding orphaned, injured or ill wildlife.
Getting Started
We are currently not taking any new organizations but plan on making this database available to others in 2019. If you currently belong to the Friends of Cape Wildlife or the Connecticut Wildlife Rehabilitators Association You may sign up and register, upon approval you will be able to access the call records system.
Field Guides
Our field guide (accessed from the main menu above) is a work in progress. As more species are added it will become a valuable resource for our volunteers and staff to refer to while on a call. This includes actions, advice, and basic information on animal species that are commonly rescued.
